TL;DR is a journalistic enterprise that aims to bring some editing flair to the traditional reporting of New Zealand news items. Articles examine news of the day through the lens of language, in the hope that I can inform ordinary people about the ways that words and phrases are used.

We look at topics such as emotional manipulation, hiding the truth, statistical manipulation, rhetorical tools and straight-up lying.

This is not a political website, and I have zero political affiliation. It's an objective source, in that the advice on language and communication is accurate. My opinions have not been wiped from these pages because they're based on that accurate information. Wherever possible, I'll cite my sources on news information or reference material. Please feel free to let me know if I miss a source or link to one incorrectly.
